The Village Art Studio is a private painting atelier located in the heart of the historic Helderberg, a destination spot for artists for over a hundred years. We offer the opportunity to take workshops, at your leisure, with the best teacher in the field of painting from around the country. Personally enriching workshops at our studio is for the artistically inclined who wish to learn the essentials of capturing the soul of a portrait from their favorite painters.

Our studio is  modern, comfortable and create a relaxing atmosphere. To ensure that our students are receiving world class tuition, our studio is fully multi-media enabled. Our students have exclusive access to training by well known South African artist, Suzette Laten. They also have free use of our own range of books, photos, prints and other reference material in class.

Classes

Our classes are kept small (around nine students) to ensure individual attention. At Village Art Suplies, our students not only come to learn to paint top quality paintings, they come to relax, laugh, chat, de-stress and above all enjoy themselves. Although the atmosphere is relaxed, paintings are usually completed within two to six lessons depending on the complexity of the subject being painted.
